It might be that you need to "ranlib" the library explicitly.

Dear Siesta users,

I am trying to compile Siesta on another platform (Nec-sx6), and I
have the following error message at the end of the compilation :

Sxld fatal: can't read archive header from archive libfdf.a

While the libfdf.a is present in the Src directory (I assume that it
has been compiled correctly, in the fdf directory).

Does anybody have a suggestion to overcome this problem ?

Many thanks in advance.

Frédéric
