The first player I tried was Mplayer, and I have been very impressed.
The documentation is very thorough, and I can therefore view any media
format currently understood by Linux with it.

I don't follow the mailing lists, but I hear that Arpad Gereoffy can be
likened to Theo de Raadt, FWIW.

That reminds me.  To anybody that has used Xine and mplayer, do you have
any input re a comparison between the two?
