There are a lot of very good artworks in the halls of ACES. What do you mean when you say that there aren't many people who can make art?

Check of www.sito.org/synergy/ for many opportunities to make collaborative artworks. Maybe not good, maybe not bad, maybe not indifferent, but art is work and you all can make it. Self described artist or not.

What did you have in mind by "starting up siggraph at ut" ? Creating cool
new rendering methods, or more like creating artwork? I think there are a
lot of people in CS interested in the technology behind computer graphics,
but there are not so many people who can truly make art out of it (though
I may only be speaking for myself).
