Hi Justin, Personally, I prefer to use runlevel 3, and then add startx logout either to the default .bash_profile or an individual user's .bash_profile. If your user will be telneting in, you will have to put in a test to not do this unless they are on an X console. Users who want to have the option of command line can comment these lines out. If you are running RedHat 5+, the file /home/.wm_style determines which wm is invoked. I have a modified version of /etc/X11/xinit/Xclients which recognizes all the usual ones, plus KDE, enlightenment, and xfce.
