AFAIK, all the Dell laptops use the NeoMagic video chip.  NeoMagic doesn't
suck per se, but currently there is no XF86 server for this chip (and
there won't be unless Neomagic decides to release the driver code), so if
you get a Dell, you will only be able to run X in VGA mode unless you
decide to shell out $99 for Accelerated-X, which does have X server for
NeoMagic (www.xig.com).
