I've been having a pretty weird problem with my PPP connection after I've
upgraded to kernel 2.2.1. Whenever I try to do anything (ie telnet, http,
ftp, etc) with a non-UT host, I get a 'Network is unreachable' error.
Everything is fine with anything under the utexas.edu domain. I'm using
the ppp-bits-for-telesys package from the SIGLinux page. Does anybody know
what the problem could be? I've got the latest (2.3.5) pppd, and ppp
compiled as a kernel module. Things work fine if I use the DIP script,
also from the SIGLinux page, but I prefer PPP (if only the the auto
rejection of slow connections and bad servers).
Can anybody help?
