Stupid Human Question: re KDE

I would like to be able to double-click on *.wpd files from within the
KDE File Manager and have the doc pop up into WordPerfect, if you know
what I mean.

the kdelink and mime stuff threw me into a whirligig;  is there a short
answer for doing this?
