I have a pc here set up with redhat 5.2, running enlightenment and all that
good stuff. it has a network card and works with my ISDN line and cable modem.
it's currently hooked up to my cable modem. i have another computer next to
it, that i'm putting 5.1 on right now. it has a card, and what i want to do is
to be able to transfer stuff from the one with 5.2 and e, to the one im putting
5.1 on. i have a 10baseT hub, and both computers have 10/100baseT cards. if i
were to connect them to each other using the hub, or directly, could i use
samba? if so, how? i've never used it before. if not, what else could i do?
is it even possible to do it directly, since neither computer will have an IP?
im really confused about what to do. if someone could help me figure out a
solution, i'd appreciate it. i really need to get it done quickly, so if i
could get an AIM screen name, IRC room to go to to talk with you, or even a
phone #, that would be best. but if not, an e-mail will be fine. thanks!
