XFree86 3.3.3.1, SVGA server
Generic S3-ViRGE-GX2, 4MB AGP
Motherboard is a Dual PII Tyan with one PII 333, not overclocked
not sure about the asynch, would I find that in a BIOS settiong? The MB
has an integrated Adaptec 2940 U2W PCI chip and a Yamaha OPL3-SA3 chip,
but I think that's an ISA chip. I was getting POST error codes for a
while every now and then: 2,8,2,1. The manual said those correspond to
memory, video memory, memory, memory. So I re-sat all the memory and the
video card and haven't heard a peep since. But the X crashes still take
places as I described.
