Does the GNU license prohibit you from distributing a program [compiled
with a GNU compiler (gcc)] that will NOT ever be distributed with source
code? Is there some sort of licensing fee required for use of gcc in this
manner? I have read most of the GNU license but not being very lawer-like
it is hard for me to tell.
I have a feeling that this isn't an issue at all, but have been told by co
workers that it is strictly prohibited. Can anybody clear this up for me?
