well, I was wondering, how accurate is BogoMIPS across platform?

Can I compare the BogoMIPS I got from a PPC to a x86?

I recently installed a LinuxPPC box on a rs6000. the CPU in that box is a
PowerPC 604 100Mhz chip, and I got about 200 (199.xx) for BogoMIPS. I
took a look at those Pentium II boxes at the taylor basement, and they are
about the same number (197.xx, I think)..so does an old PPC chip, running
at lower speed, can out perform Intel chip?
