Make sure you have XAnim installed (http://xanim.va.pubnix.com/home.html,
RPMS should be on redhat contrib sites) because I think Aktion is just a
front-end to it. XAnim is pretty good for most applications, though some
of the latest closed-codecs haven't been included, most notably the
Sorenson QuickTime stuff - Apple apparently won't allow it at the moment.
XAnim also seems a little weak to me on mpeg video playback, but perhaps
I'm doing something wrong or there is a better alternative for mpeg.
