Chipsmart buys "broken box" goods from wholesalers, as well as crap from the
monthly auctions up in Dallas....The quality of this junk ranges from
accidentally ok to absolutely dismal....I know this because I just quit a job
at an unnamed computer store near campus that goes to the same auctions....the
mentality seems to be that as long as they get the money in hand, the customer
can always exchange something that doesn't work for something else that
MIGHT......unless there is some way to blame the customer for the part not
functioning correctly....these guys are worse than the used car dealers that
flourish out there on Burnet Road........the goal is not repeat business, the
goal is to get the money and keep it. Customers are merely a needed annoyance,
a vehicle for the loot........Street slime as Robber-Baron Wannabe
