If $$ are tight, get one of the Tekram DC390s. I've got the UW model and
it way outperforms the AIC-7880 onboard I was running, same OS, CPU, RAM.
Comes up in Linux with fewer problems than the AIC. One note, though, if
you'll be running NT, better plan on installing from an IDE CD-ROM. NT
likes the Tekram OK after install, but NOT during.
