I have gotten both Solaris 2.6 (intel/SPARC) and Solaris 2.7 (intel/SPARC)
from this offer...It has been fantastic. For the cost of media and
shipping (around $10-$15) I was able to upgrade my machine from SunOS
4.1.4 (it's a SPARCstation 2) to Solaris 2.7. I can tell you that,
compared to linux, Solaris is a big memory hog, but I actually do
development/admin work on Solaris a fair amount so I need the OS. That
doesn't stop me from dual booting my SPARCstation between linux and
Solaris though...although that will come to a halt when I get my PC up and
running...linux will move there and Solaris will become my OS on the SPARC
platform. It's well worth the cost...especially considering that Sun
sells Solaris for ~$350 per license.
