I don't know what that is about. But I recall having symptoms similiar to
yours before I got it working. I would connect and then after a few seconds I
was disconnected. I tried a bunch of stuff. Then I reinstalled to clear out
what damage I had done. The second go around, I used netcfg again, but I
clecked the checkbox in interfaces | ppp0 | edit | hardware | [x] "ignore well
known errors".
And it worked.
