More information on this problem..
After a reboot, "dmesg | more" did not show the original error message I
posted a moment ago. However, there are still problems with the floppy
drive. I am trying to install a program that is on a floppy in tar format.
To install this program, one should type "tar xvf /dev/fd0". After typing
this, I get the following error message.
tar: Read error occurred on /dev/fd0: Input/output error
tar: At beginning of tape, quitting now
tar: error is not recoverable: exiting now
I don't know if this proves useful. Its just more info regarding this
problem. Thanks again...
