one important thing to note to people who will come - even if there are
monitors there (b/c he'll probably have some, if it's usually a room full
of computers) they should bring their own so that we can help them
configure X for their monitor - if they bring it and set it up on monitor
A at the installfest, monitor B at home probably won't work quite the
same, or might work better if it had settings tuned for it - it's no fun
to lug a monitor around, but it's also no fun to spend all day getting it
to work and have it not work ;p
if nothing else, they should get manuf + model #s of their monitor(s) so
that we can look up the specs on the net..
btw - Thomas, those linux training classes you speak of, do they take plac
eon the weekend? I'm thinking a weekend is probably the best (if not only)
practical time for this, and if it happens *before* your classes end, you
might generate a little business - people might want linux training so
they can use their newly saved PCs ;p
