Just taking a break from cs homework (due in less than 7 hours), so my brain
is a little fried, but I thought Omar said he did this last year and it had
a MUCH larger turnout than he originally expected. (Or at least that's what
I hallucinated...) Most people say they don't like Windows or something
along those lines, but are too scared to leave Bill because they're afraid
of being alone. I know a lot of people who need an event like this to make
the transition easier... sort of like one of those mass-weddings or cult
recruitment things you read about...
In any case, I'd be happy to help distribute flyers and spread the word. I
think we should reccomend that people bring their mouse and keyboard (that's
kinda confusing if it's your first time) and anything that is a common
peripheral so that someone can help them get it set up... (not something
like an Ascend router -- which is a bitch to set up, especially when the ISP
sets it up incorrectly)
I think you guys might be surprised how many people would do it or at least
come to see it. I think we might need a fairly decent sized room...maybe a
room at the Union?? (I don't necessarily mean the ballroom either)
We should then plan part 2: what to do after you installed linux...heh
-ks
ps. afterwards we can sell cheesy shirts that mark them as converts, right?

would it have space for more than 10 crammed together? 10 might be enough,
and it might be too much, and it might be way less - it's hard to judge
turnout the first time around ;p
I think that even if we made all kinds of mistakes the first time around,
there has to be a first time - and this sounds cool to me, it's definitely
good to have network and internet access, so we can download stuff, test
netowrk, etc..
