ok, first off, if you upgrade gnome-core, i would definitely upgrade
gnome-libs, as well as ORBit. straight out, do this now.

i don't know if it is supposed to, try clicking on the window to get focus.
i know cvs enlightenment uses its own pager.

the toolbar? what do you mean? the gnome panel? it does for me, but i
run cvs enlightenment and cvs gnome, so again, i'd suggest upgrading
gnome-libs.

look into the Xmodmap command and think about invoking it in your .xinitrc
for desired effects.

what terminal are you using? again, look into Xmodmap. are you using the
correct keybrd settings in your XF86Config file?
