Whenever I see this, I reconfig X with XF86Setup and don't use old config. I've
also found that when Xconfigurator and XF86Setup don't do the trick, xf86config
always seems to. XF86Setup has consistently crashed when I select Microsoft
Natural as the keyboard type (I want to use those damn Win keys), but it seems
to be alright with xf86config (just an example).
Also, The gnome packages with Mandrake (only Mandrake) has a pretty big buffer
overflow bug. Check out http://www.linux.com for details. (This bug has been
found to exist only with the Mandrake packages).
