YEs... you should be abl eto .  I don't see why you couldn't.  I would
probably not run X on this machine and use a command-line mp3player and
hook up some type of serial lcd interface / remote to run it.  I was
thinking of buying an embedded system board with a 100Mhz chip in it and
see if I Can'tbuild a box so that it would go into the trunk of my car.
All then I would need is about 100 ft of cat5 to hook it up into the rest
of the apartment lan so I could easily download songs to it.
