Hi all, thats a quick message from Dimon. Last night i had my computer crashed so I'm writing to you from computer lab. Can you tell me something about how to do virus check in linux, and how to deal with them. I think i got something really bad from IRC network, my entire filesystem is gone... I ve been there under unpriviledged user diver, but fisrt thing i got on reboot was LIL-, then i saw that one of my FAT32 partitions owned by diver went into something strange -- all names are fucked up... but i still could read some of it(play mp3s) last time i tryed -- i COULD boot linux from floppy, and that was kinda working, nut strange thing i noticed, that my hardware virus check started warning me that mbr was about to change at boot... when i rewritten my mbr to win9x, i could run win98, thats on the partition which looks untouched(anouther FAT32) is there any way i can run any diagnostics with my system with all i have now? I dont really want to lose any data, so im not doing anything yet until i know what to do... Thanx for any help, its really appreciated.
