You have two good options: use can download Framemaker for Linux
for free and use it, or you can use a perl script to piece together a large
postscript file. Postscript should work everywhere, but I'd call the print shop
beforehand. I've attached a good perl script and config file which I've used
in the past when doing research posters (like for AAS, etc.). This script takes
each part of your poster as postscript files and assembles them into one big
one. It may be easier for you to use Framemaker, though.
