Today at 3:10pm, Jeffrey Forman expounded:

++ So I am trying to change my box over to the right time zone now..i got
++ it one way, but cant seem to figure out the other.
++
++ When I run 'w' it says the wrong time, but when I run 'date' it says the
++ correct time.
++ Any help on apps that can sync my hardware and software clock to an
++ internet clockserver?
++ Whats the command to sync the software time to hardware, or vice versa?

I use xntpd for syncing my clock to an internet clockserver. There is also
rdate (which just syncs the clock once and does not keep running). For
xntpd, your clock has to be w/i a few minutes of the clockserver for it to
work.

hwclock --systohc sets the hardware clock from the system clock
--hctosys sets the system clock from the hardware clock
