My girlfriend runs an Acer 8x8x24 PCMCIA on her Toshiba laptop. This is the first and only burner I have ever used. We have been quite pleased with its performance and it hasn't created a bad disk yet. It's a good option. However, it is a little more pricey than some of the standard USB 1 burners. I think it was listed at $180 or so back around Christmas but we landed a special deal because of an order screwup.
