Don't forget to mention that you can even build
links without graphical support and still login as long as Javascript and SSL
are built in, if anyone's going for super-minimal.
I think the reason they built the authentication
with JavaScript and stuff is not to foil anyone, but just a product of the whole
"new school" of web design, and the whole perception that newer always equals
better. Or something.

Ok well I've done it without X. I'm using
links with svgalib. This gives a graphical links. You can build it
with SSL support AND javascript support, so that's what I did. So with
this I can access the UT Authentication page and actually *authenticate,
despite their plans to foil my attempts with the use of javascript(why I have
no idea). Anyhow, I appreciate yallllls help. o0o0o I even have a
mouse in links :) elite. If you wanna do it without X, check out
