To get your nic up, try, as root, "modprobe 3c509" and then check the
output from "/sbin/ifconfig"
It should look like this:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:40:05:82:0F:D8
inet addr:192.168.120.2 Bcast:192.168.120.255
Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
The UP BROADCAST RUNNING is a good sign. Then check on your IP. I dunno
about the Voodoo, but the Horiz and Vert rates are very important if you
want to run "/usr/X11R6/bin/xf86config", which I recommend.
