Not sure if anyone ever answered to this post (?), but just in case: > This device is using some kind of binary blob that is (I presume) send to a > altera chip. > to make this work with sigrok do I need a oss replacement for this bin blob? Not necessarily, no. For most devices that need to upload firmware or bitstreams in order to be usable, we have scripts in the sigrok-util repo which can extract the required data from the vendor software. This allows users to extract the required files from their own copy of the vendor software, place it in a place where libsigrok looks for firmware (and the respective libsigrok driver will then upload it). Please feel free to join us on IRC (#sigrok on FreeNode) for more discussions / help, etc. Cheers, Uwe. -- http://hermann-uwe.de | http://randomprojects.org | http://sigrok.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ sigrok-devel mailing list sigrok-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/sigrok-devel
