This list follows the old best-practices of mailing lists, where the list server will resend all the messages to subscribers with the original author in the From: -field and setting reply-to address to the list.
Previously this has worked fine, but since SPF, DKIM and DMARC rules were implemented this practice now triggers email-forgery protections. Altering the message contents at all breaks DKIM signatures and using addresses in the from -field that the list-server hasn't been allowed to will break SPF.
