Temannya Steven Benitez, Mr. A I dari London (saya tidak sebutin nama,
karena beliaunya tidak mau terkenal), sempat ngajarin saya pokok-pokok
silat Walisongo ini. Beliaunya aslinya Yunani, tapi sekarang tinggal
di Inggris, ngajar silat juga, dan juga belajar silat Cimande.

Memang salah satu aspek lanjut silat Walisongo beliau adalah
"follow-follow" itu, atau Ampek-ampek ('gak tau saya ini bahasa apa),
yaitu latihan membuat badan fleksibel, "To yield" istilah-nya.
Aplikasinya adalah utk grappling.

Tahap latihannya, kalau tak salah: 5 gerak Stretching, 5 Conditioning,
6 macam Langkah, Tangkisan, Jurus, Buah, Buah berlanjut, dst...

Mengenai akar Indonesia-nya, saya sendiri tidak jelas, dan guru saya
itu pun tidak bisa menjelaskan. Guru Ma Prem yang disebut di situ,
tidak begitu terkenal nampaknya di Belanda sini.

Kalau menyebut silat Wali Songo, kalau di Jawa Timur (Surabaya), ini
merefer ke perguruan Silat Tenaga Dalam, saudara dari Perguruan Pagar
Nusa (sama-sama berinduk ke NU). Kebetulan saya di SMP belajar Wali
Songo ini, dan nama guru-nya kok sama dengan nama guru saya yg orang
Yunani itu. Coincidence ya? Guru saya di Surabaya tsb sudah wafat, dan
saya tidak tahu kelanjutan silat ini. Saya pindah perguruan :-)

Kalau di Wali Songo Surabaya, ilmu tenaga dalam-nya lain akar dengan
Satria Nusantara, Prana Sakti yang dari Margaluyu. Ilmu TD Wali Songo
Surabaya ada 3 level jurus, masing-masing 10 macam gerakan:

1. Asmaul Husna, satu Nafas 7 langkah: Ya Hayyu, Ya 'Aliyyu, Ya
Maliyyu, Yaa Wafiyyu Yaa Ghaniyyu, Ya Waliyyu, Yaa Baqiyyu

2. Asma' Malaikat, satu nafas 4 langkah: Syajail, 'Aynail, Awrail, Abraha

3. Saya gak sampai level ini :-)

Keunikan TD Wali Songo Surabaya, adalah salah satu gerak jurusnya ada
yang mengangkat kaki. Kalau di TD lain, biasanya kaki mesti memijak bumi.

Eh, maaf, jadi kebanyakan ngomong.
