Hi All,

I've just launched a new web app - http://www.doculicious.com and was
wondering if anyone would like to take a look and give some feedback or
advice?

It's essentially a "web form creation" site, but with a difference. I'm
marketing it as an alternative to having PDF form downloads on a
website, as the web forms created by doculicious generate a PDF file
download, but also provide a range of benefits over what PDF downloads give.

How it works: The site has a browser based WYSIWYG design tool that lets
you drag and drop fields onto a blank canvas to create a template, much
like a desktop graphic application. Templates can then be embedded onto
websites with a few lines of HTML, where they perform just like a web
form. When the web form is filled in and submitted, the system generates
a PDF file that looks like the template, but filled in with all the data
just entered, and then supplies the person who filled it in with a link
to download it. I offer template creation services for converting
existing PDF or paper forms, or creating new ones from scratch, but
members are free to create their own templates or copy any of the
existing free templates for modification.

The benefits: The owner of the template can set a range of options for
each template, including: saving the entries for later processing,
receiving notifications, disabling the PDF download, adding confirmation
messages, changing the style of the web form or download, using SSL,
searching entries, adding comments on entries etc. Templates can have
unique tracking numbers placed on them so when the paper form is faxed
or mailed back it can be matched up with it's data entry. Template
owners can export the data as CSV or a PDF file. Fields can be hidden in
the external web form, but still remain editable by the template owner
- making it suitable for gathering pertinent data direct from a client,
and into an appropriate document, while leaving some fields editable
only by the administrator.

There are live examples on the doculicious website, but I've also
embedded a couple of templates on my blog where it can be seen in action
on an external site: http://www.digitalcarpenter.com.au

I plan on doing a some internet marketing, blog posts, adwords etc to
get internet exposure, but also want to hit the road and try to sell
this to local government, small/medium business, anyone else who would
benefit .... any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Chris.
