I often think that the 'do it before you have responsibilities' argument is a poor excuse. We live in the first world, if I bet everything and lose we will still survive. My wife would not be impressed but I don't think that is a good enough reason to settle for a life that I feel is mediocre (mediocraty is in the eye of the beholder).
