Hi All

I want to introduce myself and my business to Silicon Beach as I have
just come across it and think it's a great community and certainly one
that I can engage with.

My company is Bridge Systems and we develop, operate & invest in
information management businesses as well as provide strategic
corporate advisory services. My trade is law, having worked for a Top
10 Australian firm before moving into a family business running
commercial record centres (archiving warehouses) for several years,
which I left at the end of 2008 to get Bridge Systems off the ground,
moving from Brisbane to Melbourne in the process. I am only 25 which
has both it's advantages and disadvantages, however I have been
working in my sphere generally since I was a kid, and professionally
since I was 21.

When people ask what I do, I tell them "We make life's important
information easier to manage." Our solutions range from domestic
products right through to enterprise-level electronic document
management systems and information processes in business transactions.
We see good information management as a key driver in the future
economy, particularly in the digitsation of traditionally paper-based
processes and the use of digital verification for key documents that
we all use in our lives.

We have 4 businesses at the moment which we are focused on at present:

ArchivingDeals.com.au - a brokerage style service which helps
businesses who need offsite document storage get the best deal
possible from our panel of providers. We see offsite document storage
as the first step that businesses can take towards good information
management.

GoPaperless.com.au - the world's first personal information management
platform. We sell the Mariner Paperless software, which is a unique &
intuitive iTunes-style interface for managing digital receipts &
important documents, including OCR scanning to digitise paper receipts
& documents. We bundle it with a high-quality portable scanner &
online backup to create the platform.

EasyOffices.com.au - paper reduction, document management, business
process improvement & office innovations. Starting with an EDRMS that
helps businesses integrate paper & electronic documents, we now
provide strategies, products & services that really help businesses
prepare for the future by going digital. From scanners through to CRM
& business management software, energy reduction, in-office recycling
and anything else that complements a modern-day office.

BridgeAdvisory - our corporate advisory & consulting arm that lets us
put our knowledge to work for others, delivering high-value business
outcomes through growth & divestment strategies. We utilise
information systems to make businesses easier to sell, prepared to
acquire and scalable for growth.

We are always looking for new opportunities to invest in or provide
services to emerging info-centric & innovation companies, in
particular through creating strong businesses that are investment-
ready and exit-focused, with good risk management and tax-effective
structuring. With that said, we are also pushing forward with
proprietary systems & developing our own IP. We put our advisory
principles in place in our own businesses as well as others -
practicing what we preach.

As we have a dual focus in innovations & transactions, we have a
vested interest in the future of the information technology sector in
Australia both as a nursery for our own & other businesses. I look
forward to being a part of the Silicon Beach community and working
with other like minded entrepreneurs. As most of you will appreciate,
in start-up mode it can be quite lonely in terms of peer interaction,
and groups like this can help stimulate growth through collegiality.
