Hi All, I am visiting San Fran for 10 days between Wed 17th Feb and Fri 26th Feb with my partner as we are currently travelling the world and its our last stop before heading back to Melbourne.
I have a passion for web and mobile phone SaaS solutions which might leverage off or interact existing social networks such as facebook, linkedin and twitter I am really hoping to make the most of my time in San Fran/Silicon Valley by networking and interacting with other IT/ Mobile/Business/Startup/Entrepreneurial people to get advice and share ideas. I was wondering what would be the best way to find networking events that might be happening while I am there around the web and mobile services arena. I am not a web developer myself but have a consulting background in Microsoft Enterprise Solutions so would really like to me people in sales and finance sides of startups. I was also thinking about spending 2-3 days in Vegas (To visit Zappos.com and Casinos) but I just wanted to get some advice before I book flights on when is the best time to try and meetup with people San Fran or Silicon Vally? Would it be during the week or on weekends as I only have one weekend to play with. Thanks so much for your time and I appreciate any advice or help.
