That's all very well to say that, but its really just sugar coating the
problem.

In Australia, we *have* developed new technologies. But when we do
the intellectual property is pushed offshore into foreign companies and
then our tech community is left poor. Governments have been instrumental
in doing this.

It's a while back now, but Australia developed the "utility" car or "ute".

That made our foreign car companies billions of dollars (and does every
year), but we still don't have any local car companies of any size.

India, Malaysia, China, Korea, Japan all have their own car companies.

We do not.. and the Government has a 100 year history of not wanting
that.

Sorry, but It's just really dishonest to be giving rhetoric about 'releasing
billions' when the NSW Government "hides" all the actual technology
achievements that have been done in this State (and others). Then it
does *not* try to leverage that to create further investment..

cmon..

Australian Governments are all about leaking technology and IP bacck
to Europe and America.. seriously Richard.. we know how this country
works...
