I'm doing it for two major reasons. The first, is that I can't imagine doing anything else. Sure I would love to travel the world, but I would always have this nagging desire to do what I'm doing now.
Secondly, I want to make an impact. I want to be known for something, and get to know people. I love hearing peoples stories, understanding their decisions. Money is more a necessity than and end goal. It's essential to be able to maintain a high quality output (I'm in the content industry), and keep the business sustainable. Reputation is pretty big. Some people get hung up on materiel goods, and sure there are some gadgets I would love to get my hands on. But reputation is different. It can only be earned, and takes a very long time to earn. Furthermore, it can be lost in an instant. So not only is it incredibly volatile, it is incredibly hard to gain; I guess thats the attraction. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Silicon Beach Australia mailing list.
