Finding this forum very interesting, so now I've got a better feel for it, thought it was time to introduce myself.
I started my career as a tax cadet at KPMG back in 2001 and later moved into the marketing team. So I have an accounting and generalist marketing background. After completing my Masters in Marketing I became interested in the baby boomer market and how this is largely an ignored audience, particularly online. I now own adage.com.au, which is a leading job board and online community for mature age workers. While not that 'sexy' it's the fastest growing labour market segment in Australia and an important consumer group. I'm not from an HR/recruitment background but interested in the 'people' space and how and why people connect online. Currently looking at other ways this 'experienced' person can be deployed, particularly around mentoring. Also interested in challenging current online recruitment models. Based in Melbourne so hope to meet some of you soon.
