I have tried Totango as well as MixPanel. I have used Totango in production and really want to give mix panel a whirl one day.
Choosing a provider really depends on the nature of your data stream. For ex: Is it page view based or action based. As good as both are, I would advise having a provider agnostic strategy for your data. By that I mean collect your data in a raw form and then you can try multiple providers for the analytics before you settle on one or use multiple if that suits your needs or roll your own.
