Hey - just be really careful about FX currency conversion fees.

This from Pins' pricing page:

*Foreign currency transactions will be automatically converted to
Australian dollars before being transferred to your bank account. The
conversion is completed at a retail foreign exchange rate of 4% on top of
the wholesale interbank rate at the time of the transaction.*

If you're taking $USD and shuttling back to your $AUD account, then it
reads like your total fees are going to be 3% transaction plus *4% FX fee*plus
wholesale interbank rate. If you are taking $USD then its likely some
of our business costs are $USD so you also a few more percentage points in
even more fees as you pay suppliers.

These all start to add up really quickly - at the end of the day you're hitting
10% of your revenue going toward fees when it obviously much better spent
on building your business.

Its a silent killer. We found the best solution was holding an account
with NAB in $USD and using Braintree (AU office now) for transactions. So
- all we're paying is standard Braintree rates to get the money into our
$USD account and a really really low FX fee to transfer from NAB $USD to
NAB $AUD accounts when we need to be spending some Aussie dollars.

Make sense? Happy to chat off/group with anyone about this.
