Keep in mind there are a lot of benefits in a split team….eg Australian staff wont be wooed away by the next latest and greatest and it doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg to live within 2 hours commute of the office.
But yes for raising funds/business potential there are a lot of upsides to being located in SV or NYC.
