There is a lot of discussion about the changing nature of work ... 9-5 is a
legacy of industrial shift-work but service economy is more demand based
leading to seasonal, part/casual jobs and blended careers (multiple sources
of income). For example, now that Thailand is trying to kick-start the IoT,
having a working holiday visa (6 month contract, 6 month backpacking) might
be a lifestyle option. Doing bouts of professional workshops between gigs
is another market opportumity. Whilst the 4 hour work week might be an
extreme (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_4-Hour_Workweek), certainly
flexibility from telecommuting and project freelance work means other
aspects will morph in response (eg super, smoothing out lumpy income
streams, travel/health insurance, virtual office, etc).
