I quite like Ubuntu. I haven't used the very latest version (I'm always
at least 6 months behind), but I switch back and forth between Ubuntu
and Solaris on my tiny little Sony laptop. Six months with each. Also,
proclaiming technologies "dead" before they have actually died is
somewhat risky business. I just bought a Mac (which is driving me nuts,
by the way) for home use, and I remember more than a few people who said
that the Mac was dead a decade ago. Times change.
