I have been a silent spectator on this list for over a decade (I got added
in 2015). But I noticed ✨a little masala✨, so obviously I fan-girled quite
a bit! I've been shamelessly in love with Avani ever since we met (she was
running The Love Doctor) and she agreed to contribute to a digital
publication I was running!

To respond to one of the many things Avani mentioned, "Attention economics"
is what I'm currently obsessed about (current = the last 9 years). I've
deep-dived into metaphysical ontology, I've read random neuroscientific
research while in the bathroom, and worried about building brands for tech
in Bharat. It is untenable to earn a livable wage AND consume all the
content there is to consume in the world. Doom scrolling has never
guaranteed a repeat customer. Attention is never enough.

I used to think content was everything. Now I'm on a rooftop, yelling
"CONTENT IS DEAD, YOU MORONS!" (After almost 100M pageviews later).

I'm currently trying to articulate (in as much detail as possible) the
mechanics of CONTEXT marketing and branding - for which the right medium is
building communities that make a difference in the quality of life of
people. I've tried it about half dozen times in the last 5 years with
increasing success. I'll die when marketing budgets are at the right
proportion to operating costs, and when writing content can go back to
being art (or at least a service to human beings), and "writers" don't have
to write blogs about sales funnels to pay the rent.

Thank you for your attention!
