In fact the chain that holds the two partially open bank shutters together is low enough to strike me on my bald head unless I bend as well - so I bow as I enter sideways. Twenty thousand - or even one lakh hurt only me or you. It is the 1 crore plus theft that hurts the bank. The bank is protecting itself and it values itself more than me, and it probably also values the customers who hold 1% of their 1000 crores as depoists in the bank more than it values my custom.
