Indeed it is. My new booklet took several weeks, here in Bangalore. And the US visa is in one booklet, the reference in the new booklet is to yet another one, so I have to take along a sheaf of these things when I travel. Very bulky.

When I contacted our partners in Canada, they had a quick word with the local High Commission, and they were told the whole thing would be over in a day or two.
