Is the D90 $300-400 more? Some question CMOS (D90) superiority over CCD
(D80). Also the D80 has gridlines on demand. I own a video camera. Of course
a burst of video spontaneity will be denied with the D80, if required.
But I'm still listening... :-)

Yes. I think it is. Nothing against the D80. I love my camera, but if you're
spending anyway, why not get the latest model if you're OK with the extra
spend. As for CMOS and CCD, there is no clear superiority. Both deliver the
same quality. Authoritative article -

If you already own an HD video cam (or just have a plain one and don't see
why you need HD), by all means D80 is for you. I bought an HD TV recently
and now regret not waiting a little longer and buying the D90.
