Indeed. Also the beans look noticeably different if you've seen them
side by side before.

I'm reminded of a time I bought Oolong. I asked for [highest grade]
and the shop person teased me and asked if I could really taste the
difference. I said "How about you sell me [next lower grade] and if I
can't tell the difference you pocket the profit. But if I CAN tell the
difference you sell me [highest grade] at [next lower grade] price?"
She said "I think you can tell the difference." (I can.)

For the record, it is possible to like animals (pigs in particular can
be quite endearing) and still eat them. :)
