You mentioned asking the guy whether he does a chocolate dosa .. for something as disgustingly sweet as that, you have to go out west where they have a sweeter tooth thanks to gujarat nearby. There's a joint in Garodia Nagar (Bombay's Ghatkopar East area) that I saw that did offer it. I even saw one being made - plain old dosa with hershey's chocolate sauce drizzled on it once it was made, and topped with cadbury gems (the local M&Ms). Somehow I didn't feel adventurous enough to order one.
