Hello all, This is Rahul. Thanks, Udhay, for inviting me to this list. I know Udhay from the online world, through another mailing list with allusions to sheer, soft textiles.
I'm a computer scientist/engineer based in Boston/Cambridge. I work on a broad swath of systems ranging from wired and wireless networks up from the signal layer to server side and distributed systems. I've been orbiting academia for years as a graduate student, and working on startups based on my academic work. After all, what's entrepreneurship but a $10 word saying that you can't find anybody willing to employ you? Work tends to be all consuming most days - yeah, I'm boring, I know - but if I had my druthers, I'd rather be bike riding through the back country or hiking up in New Hampshire.
